Low Frequencies

On a Bass guitar, the low E is around 41Hz. Most regular powered speakers (Mackie/Tapco Thump 15A, Yamaha MSR40) bottom out around this range. The Yamaha MSR400 will still play a low E, even though its specs stop at 50Hz. The Tapco Thump 15A will also play 40Hz, but the ones I've tried vibrate and rattle badly.

Regular Guitars are tuned one octave above a Bass, so their low E is is around 82Hz.

Human hearing can hear audio as low as 12Hz at a stretch in laboratory conditions (more typically 20Hz).

Double Bass Frequencies

Following is a frequency chart in Hertz. The bold  numbers correspond with the open strings of the bass. Each vertical row to the right is an octave higher. For example, 41.2 Hz is the low E string on your bass. 82.4 Hz is the first E on the D string. 

A440 is the note that most tuners and pitchforks use as a standard tuning note

CD Frequencies

Regualr CD's are sampled are 41,000 Hz. They can do frequencies below this. They say the human ear can only hear around the 20,000Hz mark.

Voice Frequencies

In telephony, the usable voice frequency band ranges from approximately 300 Hz to 3,400 Hz.

The voiced speech of a typical adult male will have a fundamental frequency from 85 to 180 Hz, and that of a typical adult female from 165 to 255 Hz. We still can hear voices over the telephone because of the harmonics, which create the impression of hearing the fundamental tone.

High Frequencies

The highest note on the flute (C7) is around 2,100 Hz.

That high pitch sound of an old CRT monitor (TV) is around 16,800 Hz.

The highest frequency Humans can typcially hear is 20,000Hz.
