Today, the airwaves are full of transmissions - and wireless microphone transmissions can suffer from interference.
Due to the incompetence and lack of forsight of our Australian Government, equipment suppliers have had difficulty finding safe frequencies for wireless equipment - and as a result wireless gear is prone to reliabilty issues. So if you can, use cables - and only use wireless if you have too.
The frequencies between 694MHz-820MHz (the digital dividend) was sold off for 4G services. From 1 January 2015, it became illegal to use wireless microphones or transmitters operating in the digital dividend. The new frequency range for legal use of wireless devices will be between 520MHz-694MHz and 1790MHz-1800MHz.

H5, J10 and H8 are the best for most areas from Perth to Albany. L4 and J3 are OK because they straddle some available frequencies

The 800MHz band
Some wireless guitar transmiters work in the 860-880 MHz range. They will compete with Cordless Phones and Land Mobile.
806-824MHz is a piece of spectrum known as public protection and disaster relief (PPDR) and it has been harmonised across the South-East Asia region. This is kept aside for emergency radio.
824MHz to 869MHz is occupied by mobile operators. The rest is being used by Government and commercial two-way radio.
